La Cana Navia 2012 Albarino
$ 39.99

La Cana Navia is Jorge Ordonez's latest creation. A remarkable product made from Galicia's queen white variety: Albarino.

The grapes of this wine of bodega La Cana come from vines over 30-years-old planted in little, high acidic plots whose soils are composed of sand and limestone. The vines are located in the Salnos valley, the heartland of the Albarino grape.

Manually harvested and selected both at the vineyard and in the cellar, the must was fermented in 500-litre and 600-litre French oak barrels, where the wine was subsequently aged for some months on its lees.

After its bottling, La Cana Navia 2014 was further aged in the bottle for a substantial period of time.

This wine from Ras Baixas will evolve nicely in the bottle over the next 5 years.
