We visited this Bodega and fell madly in love with both the wines and the wine maker, Luis. His absolute passion for wine making along with his hospitality are legendary in the region of Extremadura. His creativity applied to winemaking is truly amazing. He breaks all the rules by doing things no other wine maker will even attempt. Each wine has that special twist that only Luis knows how to make work.

Varietals: 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Garnacha, 25% Syrah and 25% Graciano

Winemaking Notes: Grapes are hand picked in the cool of the night, held for 10 months in barrel under controlled temperatures.

Tasting Notes: Deep purple color. On the nose, black licorice, red fruits (especially strawberry) spice and smoke. The notes from the barrel are very intense yet balanced and the mouthfeel is silky.Elegant tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Pairing Suggestions: Great with steak or any other red meats, especially those finished with a balsamic reduction.
