Carabal Cavea 2009
Spain has become one of the most exciting wine destinations on the planet. Located in southwestern Spain along the Portuguese border, Ribera del Guadiana is part of the Extramadura. Although it was only officially designated as a wine region in 1999, Extremadura has been making wine since the Roman era. Cavea (meaning bleachers in Latin) is a structured and elegant wine.
Carabal wines are made from estate vineyards, located in Alía, Cáceres, in the Sierra de Guadalupe. The estate is part of the UNESCO World Geopark "Villuercas - Ibores - Jara"

Tasting notes:
Deep cherry red color, with ruby colored hues. It stands out for its complex aroma defined by a delicate combination of the minerals of its land, red and black fruit scents and the fresh toast of oak barrels. With a discreet entrance in the mouth it grows as it passes, standing out for its elegance and complexity. It is perfectly balanced although it will round off with its aging in bottle. Varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah (84%) with Spanish grapes Graciano and Tempranillo, which add fragrance and spice to the blend.
