That’s why we have chosen hotels located in the centre of each city. Also as a surprise you will get to stay in a traditional Basque farmhouse! or casas rurales.
Another important part of the trip is the different events we have. Visiting Michelin stared restaurants and the most beautiful places of basque country is important, but we also want you see other faces of the Basque Country. Taking this into account, we will attend an Eskupilota match (traditional Basque handball), visit Picasso’s Gernika, see ancient cave paintings made by early humans 10,000-40,000 years ago, we will even lead a flock of sheep through beautiful landscape. Putting all these ingredients together, we will have a full basque experience in 10 days.
During the trip, we’ll have the opportunity to visit one of the best restaurants of the Basque country, Spain and also of the world. In total, we have the pleasure to taste the experience of visiting 11 michelin stars and 3 of the best restaurants in the world!

Arzak has been considered by many including myself as one of the very best restaurants in the world. Topping the list for many years! A visit to the Basque country is not a visit without a dinner at Arzak!
The culinary style Arzak is associated with his personality. It is deeply rooted in tradition and boasts creativity and a constant search for change. Signature cuisine. All the dishes made at the restaurant bear the Arzak stamp. Market cuisine. Fresh ingredients rule. Basque spirit. Being Basque is much more than a place of birth; it is a responsibility. Creativity. Hard work day after day. But something different every day. Avant-garde. No-one has done the same before. Changing all the time. Pure as far as ingredients are concerned. Intense when it comes to preparation. Arzak Restaurant, Arzak house. A place to eat. To discover. To experience.

Nestled deep in the Atxondo valley, at the foothills of the magical Mt. Anboto, we find Etxebarri. Far from the noise, the restaurant preserves ancient techniques of grill cooking using carefully selected firewood from different trees to work in harmony with the locally cultivated, natural produce, to offer endless possibilities of truly wonderful dishes.Earth, ocean or fire. The decision is made each day, based upon which seasonal products are most freshly available. The result is a homegrown menu, beating in time with nature’s rhythm, humbly served and carefully and consistently put together with respect and a delicate touch.
