Real Rubio Rioja Reserva 2010
To call your wines Reserva it takes commitment. This Reserva is no exception. to produce this wine, it combines the art of tradition with the mastery and control of the latest winemaking practices, a lot of patience and a lot of work. This wine will take you back in time as the feeling of the old world comes through loud and clear.
The story of Viñedos Real Rubio began over one hundred years ago at the hands of the great grandparents of the current wine makers, who began grape growing in plots around Monte Yerga in the region of Rioja. Their vineyards are home to most of the official varieties of the Rioja Designation of Origin: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura, Verdejo in addition, they have vines over 60 years old alongside other younger ones less than a decade old. For Real Rubio, wine and the vineyards constitute a way of understanding life which goes way beyond the mere act of growing and making wines, something they have tried to capture in the winery.
Tasting notes: Good depth, garnet color, with light brick-red hues and bright ruby glints. From the first moment on the nose, you can appreciate the aromas from the French oak, cereal and toast, which give way to very ripe fruit, with vanilla touches.
